Metal corrugated plate structured packing is made of a thin metal plate that is punched and corrugated. As there are many small protrusions due to surface perforation, the separation efficiency is improved with prolonged retention time on the surface and more sufficient exchange between vapor and liquid droplets. The diameter of the punched holes is 4 ~ 5mm. It is usually made of ultra-low carbon corrosion-resistant stainless steel and is used in the oil industry, fine chemical industry, pharmaceutical equipment, etc.

When the metal sheet structured packing is assembled in the tower, the corrugated sheets of the upper and lower packing layers intersect at 90° to facilitate gas-liquid distribution and mixing. The diameter of the packing disk is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the tower, and the specific recommended value of the reduction depends on the inner diameter of the tower and the block arrangement.
