This set of wire mesh coalescer pad is fully made of Alloy 400 Monel material. The wire diameter is 0.28mm [0.011 inch]. It has a mesh thickness of 300mm, plus the grids on both sides, the total thickness is 350mm. So the customer required us to make it into two layers for convenient entrance of the manway. Usually these two layers of demister have different segment plans. And in the center, we add rod-only grids to keep the shape of each part. Also in this order, we were required to use tie wire instead of spacer rods to connect upper and lower grids of each part.

It is interesting that this demister is not in standard circle. Its upper semi-cirlce diameter is 2700 mm, while its lower semi-circle diameter is only 2662mm. Why? Becuase this coalescer mesh pad is used in one horizontal separator where the interia wall surface of lower semi-circle has a 19mm concrete coating.
