The vane pack mist eliminator can work well under normal atmospheric conditions. For equipment based on direct interception and inertial separation, gas flow rate affects the key steps of the separation process (impaction, coalescence, and liquid drainage). If the gas flow hinders liquid drainage, flooding or re-entrainment of liquid droplets may occur. Therefore, it is important to determine the appropriate superficial gas velocity of the equipment through calculation, thereby determining the effective working area of the demister.
